Monetary Donations

  • Cash - Cash gifts may be made in person at the Gakuen office during school hours (9am-12:30pm on Saturdays). You may want to call the office at (626) 337-6174 prior to your visit to make sure the office will be open.

Matching Gifts
​

Ask your employer to contribute! Many employers will match any donations made by their employees to a non-profit organization. Contact your employer's human resources department to find out if your employer has a matching gift program. If your employer will match your gift, follow their instructions then kindly contact the ESGVJCC office to inform a staff person that you would like to designate your employer's matching gift to Gakuen by contacting ESGVJCC office through one of the following ways:

Volunteer Grant Program
​

A volunteer grant program is a corporate giving program that encourages its employees to engage in volunteer activity in the community and makes a corporate donation to the organization for which the employee completed the required number of volunteer hours. Check with your Human Resources department to see if your employer offers a Volunteer Grant Program!

If you have already completed your required volunteer hours with Gakuen and you are ready to submit your Volunteer Grant request to your employer, please be sure to designate the grant to ESGVJCC Gakuen. We would greatly appreciate it if you could also contact Gakuen via email (gakuen@esgvjcc.org) to let us know that your employer will be making a contribution to recognize your philanthropic work.

United Way
​

If your employer is involved with United Way, you can designate your donation to East San Gabriel Valley Japanese Community Center (account# 1745959). Kindly contact the ESGVJCC office to inform a staff person that you would like to designate your gift to Gakuen by contacting ESGVJCC office through one of the following ways:

Vehicle Donations
​

If you have a car (running or not) that you don't use anymore or are thinking of getting rid of it, how about donating it to ESGVJCC to benefit Gakuen? It is an easy way to have your vehicle picked up while helping Gakuen! For more information about donating your car to ESGVJCC or to donate, please contact the ESGVJCC office at (626) 960-2566. When making your gift for Gakuen, please communicate to the ESGVJCC staff person that you would like to designate your gift to Gakuen.
